Born in India in 1962, Ramani Narayan grew up in Mumbai. Currently he lives and works with his wife Renate Gruber - Narayan in Düsseldorf, Germany.
After post-graduate degrees in Management from India & Australia and a long corporate career, Ramani Narayan dropped out to follow his passion for art in 1999.
In his over two decades career as an Artist, Ramani Narayan has created a large body of works and he has had many solo - and group exhibitions around the world. His paintings are in collections in many countries.
Predominantly using brushes on a two-dimensional surface, Ramani Narayan works with all paint mediums.
Known for his Abstract Expressionist Style and Large Format Paintings, his repertoire includes abstracts, figurative, portraits, nature, etc paintings as well as social, political, historical, religious and environmental subjects, that he strongly feels about.
